Chollerford

Chollerford is a village in Northumberland about 4 miles (6 km) north of Hexham, where the bridge carries the military road over the River North Tyne close to Hadrian’s Wall.

Robert Bestford was station master at Chollerford from 1900 and his family lived at the Station House. The station was renamed Humshaugh in 1919, to stop it being confused with Chollerton up the line.
