Debby Besford is an international documentary photographer who was born in the United Kingdom.
Debby lives in North Norfolk. A photography degree lecturer, she works in Norfolk and Cambridge.
Debby’s 35mm film work depicting the 80s and 90s of Norfolk’s eclectic youth was selected for the Museum of Youth Culture’s Collection. Her series Forgotten Places revisits Debby’s own favourite childhood spots in Great Yarmouth in a fusion of Hopper-esque nostalgia and a visual documentary of temporary seaside attractions and their architecture, as they come and go.
Dividing her time between commissioned and personal work, Debby has kept her portfolio consistently original, innovative and diverse, with personal documentary visits to East Africa, Moscow, Ukraine, Utah and Las Vegas.
Debby’s work is on display on her website at debbybesfordphotography.co.uk.

Hello Debby,
I didn’t realise that you have travelled as much with your photography. In fact, we have trodden very similar career paths.
It would be interesting to meet up and have that chat that I had to cancel a couple of years ago. That’s of course if you would like to.
Please drop me a line on the e-mail.
Best wishes,
David Gallant
