They had the following children:

Mary Besford, born at Stickley and baptised on 27th January 1822 at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Horton. Stickley Farm was (and still is) a farm to the north east of Cramlington, Northumberland.

William Besford, born at Dam Dykes and baptised on 3rd August 1823 at the Parish Church of St. Nicholas, Cramlington. Dam Dykes was a farm to the south west of Cramlington. The farm was so-called because of the adjacent dykes which were constructed to dam water to create the lake at nearby Arcot Hall. Dam Dykes farm is no longer there, having given way to a small number of houses off Arcot Lane in the early 21st century.

Ann Besford, born at Eshott Heugh and baptised on 5th June 1825 at the Parish Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Felton, Northumberland. Eshott Heugh was a farm about 7 miles north of Morpeth. It is still there today, just off the A1, but now incorporates Northumberland Zoo, a small animal park.

John Besford, born at Eshott Heugh and baptised on 10th December 1826 at the Parish Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Felton, Northumberland.

Jane Besford, born at Fenrother and baptised on 10th June 1829 at the Parish Church of St. Cuthbert, Hebron, Northumberland.

George Besford, born at Fenrother and baptised on 20th March 1831 at the Parish Church of St. Cuthbert, Hebron, Northumberland.

Thomas Besford, born at Espley and baptised on 21st April 1833 at the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Mitford, Northumberland.
