Since Margaret Robson was baptised on the 26th of August 1660, we can safely say that Thomas Robson was alive during the English Civil War, and that he survived it. Even assuming that Thomas was only 16 when his daughter was conceived (and he was probably older), this puts his birth year as no later than 1643.
