Margaret Besford was the daughter of David Besford and Mary Besford (née Turnbull).
Known as Maggie, Margaret was born at 19 Church Street, Amble, Northumberland, on 17th May 1890. She died at Chevington Colliery at the age of 9 on 28th May 1899.
Her death certificate gave the cause of death as “Influenza, 7 days”.
Maggie was buried at Chevington Churchyard.
