Janet Besford (later Partland) (1902–1994)
Janet Besford married Albert Edward Partland in 1925. In 1928, Janet gave birth to a son, also named Albert Edward Partland. The family later moved to Wakefield and Motherwell.
Wakefield
Wakefield is a cathedral city in West Yorkshire on the River Calder, 9 miles (14 km) south-east of Leeds. Coal was dug around the city from the fifteenth century.
Janet Partland and her husband Albert moved from Ashington to Wakefield when he was offered a position in a mine there, and they were living at Moxon Grove in 1939.
