Morpeth

Henry Charles Deamster Hornsby was a wireless engineer and amateur radio enthusiast, who served with the Royal Air Force in the Middle East.

Ann Besford was working as a servant at Earsdon West Forest Farm north of Morpeth by the time she was 16 years old. She had six sons, five of whom survived to adulthood.

Jack Besford and Agnes Hewit were married at St. George’s Presbyterian Church, Morpeth, Northumberland, on 9th September 1914. They had two children.
